Season 01 prizes are a combination of cash, access, mentorship, and sponsor contributions. The prize pool is actively growing as sponsors are confirmed — final values will be announced before the season begins.
We are selecting three world-class experts across design, architecture, innovation, and creative direction to serve as the Season 01 judging panel. Judges are chosen for their professional authority, cross-industry vision, and commitment to developing emerging creative talent.
Judges evaluate teams independently from Navigators. They review concept presentations, provide critique at Episode 6, and determine award recipients during final deliberation at Episode 8.
Judges evaluate each team submission across five criteria. Understanding the scoring system is part of designing to win — build your concept with all five in mind from Day 1.
Awarded to the team whose Wing concept scores highest across all five criteria. The winning Wing enters the official NUMA Design Archive and is activated in the NUMA ecosystem for three months. This is the team that built something that could actually exist.
Awarded to the team whose Wing design most effectively integrates a learning system — a space where visitors gain a genuine skill, craft, or perspective. NUMA is a learning village first. This award recognizes the team that understood that deepest.
Awarded to the team demonstrating the strongest cross-discipline collaboration. NUMA pairs creators from different fields deliberately — this award goes to the team where two disciplines combined into something neither could have built alone.
Awarded to the team with the most original and forward-thinking Wing concept — the idea that surprised the judges, challenged assumptions, and pointed toward a future nobody had quite imagined yet. Innovation over polish.
The prize pool is the immediate reward. The real opportunity is what comes after. NUMA is building toward a 40–50 acre physical campus — and the creators who demonstrate vision and execution in Season 01 are the ones first in line to shape what that becomes.
Every sponsor contribution directly increases the value creators compete for. Sponsors are recognized across all Season 01 materials, social media, and events. Local businesses, brands of all sizes, and individuals are welcome.
